The spring tour blends a variety of elements to create a truly delightful afternoon of fun and friendship. In addition to the five amazing gardens, the tour features art exhibits and demonstrations, a delightful garden-themed boutique, enticing raffle, live music and delicious refreshments. Event is held the first Sunday of May. Tickets are only $25!
Light Up a Life is for everyone. It’s an opportunity to remember and celebrate the life of someone dear to you. Each event features readings, acts of remembrance and music. All events are free to attend. We are grateful to the hundreds of donors who participate by purchasing memorial stars. Each fully tax-deductible gift supports — and ensures the continuation of — compassionate hospice and bereavement programs throughout Ventura County.

Turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary day — be an inspiration to others.
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities and can customize your experience to meet your interests and availability. It can be as simple as reading to, or spending time with, a patient a few hours a week or helping with administrative tasks or staffing the Farmers Market.
Volunteering in our office or at the Farmers Market does not require any special training.
Hospice volunteers assist caregivers and family members with household chores or simply provide companionship and respite care for family members. We offer an eight-week volunteer training program that focuses on how to provide comfort, support, and a reassuring presence to hospice patients and their families.

Specific requirements vary by position. All medical programs require a minimum of one-year recent home health and/or acute care with current California license. All CHHA positions must have a California CNA and HHA certification. Current health care provider CPR is required for all field staff.
