Community Outreach

As a cornerstone in the community and a leader in quality healthcare we provide free community education programs.

At Livingston, we believe in giving back to the community. You’ll find our informative and dynamic speakers at health fairs, community groups, service organizations, senior groups or churches talking about:

Joint Replacement Seminars

At these regularly scheduled seminars, you’ll receive information about how you prepare for knee or hip replacement surgery — including home safety, exercise, and rehabilitation.

Diabetes Classes

At these regularly scheduled classes, you’ll learn basic information about Type 2 diabetes — including prediabetes — with an emphasis on meal planning, exercise, blood sugar monitoring, medications, and new developments in treatment.

Caregiver Workshops

The role of family caregiver may be brand new — or you may have been living it for years. Either way, this workshop will examine the blessings and challenges you may encounter along the way. You’ll also receive helpful information and community resources to help you as you help your seriously ill loved one.

At Livingston, we believe in giving back to the community. You’ll find our informative and dynamic speakers at health fairs, community groups, service organizations, senior groups or churches talking about:

End-of-Life Care

This engaging conversation gets you thinking about your wishes, guides you to find the right time to talk about your wishes with those who are important to you and helps you act by writing it all down.

Hospice Basics

This enlightening presentation explores the basic foundation of hospice care, the Medicare Hospice benefit, the specific services and supplies that are available, and how Livingston can address specialized situations.

POLST/Five Wishes

This presentation will address your personal, emotional, spiritual, and medical wishes so that family and friends won’t have to guess what you want and make hard choices without knowing your wishes. The Five Wishes living will/advance directive is valid in most states — including California. Participants bring the easy-to-complete booklet home at the end of the presentation to complete at their leisure.

Aging in America

Please join us for an opportunity to learn and talk about what transitions, challenges, and choices there are at the end of life. You will learn how and when to make decisions about choosing home health, palliative care, or hospice care and what the differences are between them.

Thank you so much for all your guidance regarding my father’s care. Livingston has been an incredible resource for us and this whole community.
