Volunteer of the Month – October 2025

We are excited to honor Neva as the Volunteer of the Month for October!

With the hope of reviving our Life Story Program, Neva jumped right in and has been the driving force behind its success. She helped launch the program, completed the very first life story book, and now serves as a mentor and resource for new volunteers eager to get involved.

Neva shared:

“It’s a privilege to sit with someone and hear their life story. At the end, they receive a book of their story and photos—a keepsake for them and their loved ones.”

Her dedication has not only brought the Life Story Program back to life but has also enriched the lives of our senior community members and volunteers alike. Through her thoughtful questions and compassionate presence, Neva helps capture stories, memories, and reflections that might otherwise be lost.

One family reflected on their experience:

“Neva interviewed my 88-year-old mother, with thoughtful questions that brought her stories, memories, and reflections to life. From these conversations, she created a beautiful keepsake book that captures the essence of not only my mom’s life, but our family history.”

Neva’s commitment, compassion, and enthusiasm are inspiring. Her work ensures that precious memories are preserved for generations, and her impact is already being felt deeply by the families we serve.

Thank you, Neva, for your incredible contributions and for making a lasting difference in our community! To find out how you can support Livingston in a meaningful way, click here or contact Violet Way, our Community Engagement Manager, at vway@lmvna.org.
