Celebrating Milestones – Margaret Haflinger

The world was a very different place when Margaret Haflinger was born in 1917. Woodrow Wilson was president, streetcars were just taking to the streets in San Francisco, and the US had just entered WWI. In her lifetime, she’s seen women get the right to vote, men walk on the moon, and 19 presidents elected. That’s a lot of history during one woman’s -lifetime.

We were delighted to be a part of Margaret’s 104th birthday! Flowers and cheesecake (her favorite) helped to make the day special for Margaret and her family.

When asked the secret to a long and happy life, Margaret delightfully responded by raising her glass of Rose and said, “Somewhere, someone is celebrating a birthday, and I’m just here to celebrate with them!” She followed that with, “Oh, and rule number one — don’t fall.”
