Effective Date: August 27, 2026

Asociación de Enfermeras Visitadoras en Memoria de Livingston (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information when you visit our website lmvna.org (the “Site”) and make donations, register for events, or interact with our online services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us (such as your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number when you sign up for a newsletter, fill out a contact form, or register for an event).

We also automatically collect certain technical information about your device and interaction with our Site using cookies and tracking technologies (such as your IP address and browser type).

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use essential, functional, and performance cookies to help our Site operate smoothly and to understand how visitors interact with our content.

We use the following categories of cookies on our Site:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: Essential for the core operation of our Site, user logins, and site security.
    • WordPress Session (swpm_session): Maintains active login sessions for supporters, members, or site administrators.
  • Analytics Cookies: Help us measure and improve site performance by understanding how visitors navigate our pages.
    • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, _utma, _utmb, _utmc, _utmt, _utmz): Tracks the number of unique visitors and aggregates user interactions, traffic sources, and session durations without directly identifying you as an individual.
  • Functional & Preference Cookies: Remember user settings and ensure embedded features operate properly.
    • Google Services (AEC, NID, SEARCH_SAMESITE): Detect fraud, support security checks, and save user preferences across embedded Google features.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Direct supporters to secure channels for processing contributions and issuing tax receipts.
  • Send newsletters, event updates, and information about our mission (if you have opted in).
  • Analyze site traffic to improve our online content, accessibility, and user experience.
  • Prevent fraudulent transactions and secure our Site.

4. Third-Party Data Sharing & Donation Processing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our organization and Site:

  • Online Donations: Online contributions are processed securely through our fundraising software provider, DonorPerfect. When you click to make a donation, you are redirected to a secure DonorPerfect checkout environment. Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association does not directly process, collect, or store full credit card details or bank account numbers on our website servers. DonorPerfect handles this payment data in compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).
  • Analytics & Hosting: We use Google Analytics to evaluate site traffic and usage. Google is contractually bound to protect data collected through our site.

5. Do Not Track (DNT) Signals

Certain web browsers offer a Do Not Track (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites requesting that browsing activity not be tracked. Because there is not yet a uniform technological standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, our Site currently does not alter its data collection practices upon receiving a DNT signal.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When changes are made, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. We encourage visitors to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.

7. Managing Your Cookie Preferences & Updating Your Data

You can control or disable cookies through your web browser settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies may affect certain interactive features on our Site.

If you wish to review, update, or request changes to any personal information we have collected about you, please contact us using the information below.
