Volunteer of the Month – June 2025

Meet Chris, a dedicated Livingston Memorial volunteer who brings comfort and connection to patients across Ventura County. A former English actor with a background in film and television, Chris now uses his voice and presence to uplift others in a deeply meaningful way.

With 16 years of experience on suicide prevention hotlines—first with The Samaritans in London and later in Los Angeles—Chris honed his greatest skill: the art of truly listening. He now supports hospice patients by gathering their life stories and reading weekly at a local board and care, where his calm presence and storytelling brings joy to residents.

As Chris says, “We are here to give service. So, I just show up—and will continue to do so as long as the opportunities present themselves.”
