Charitable Gift Annuity

Participating in the Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association Charitable Gift Annuity Program can create a healthy lifetime income stream for yourself, or yourself and a loved one, while helping Ventura County’s most vulnerable– the sick, frail, elderly, homebound, and terminally ill.

Payments are guaranteed and fixed: Our partnership with the Ventura County Community Foundation guarantees you monthly, quarterly, or annual payments for the rest of your life. At the end of your lifetime, the funds remaining will continue to support Livingston programs and services.

Rates are based on age: The gift annuity rate is determined by your age on the date you enter into the gift annuity contract. Current rates as of February 1, 2009 are 5.3% to 9.5%. Please contact us for your personal gift annuity rate, (805)642-0239x603.

Tax benefits: A gift annuity is an irrevocable contract. Therefore, you benefit from an immediate income tax deduction in the year the gift annuity is established. If needed, your deduction can be carried forward for up to five additional years. A portion of your gift annuity income is tax-free as it is considered return on principal. If funded with appreciated securities, a portion of the capital gain will be avoided.
